Dr. Jason Bradford

Dr. Jason Bradford's work has spanned academia, non-profit activism, and business. He is currently a Managing Partner of Farmland LP, a private equity fund that acquires conventional farmland, converts it to organic farmland, and promotes the development of local food systems. He is an advisor and board member of the Post Carbon Institute, a regular contributor to The Oil Drum, and hosts the radio program "The Reality Report" which appears on Energy Bulletin.
In 2004 he initiated a series of community conversations related to peak oil and sustainable economics that led to the formation of Willits Economic LocaLization (WELL). In 2006 he began farming using low-input and mostly manual labor techniques at a Community Supported Farm he founded called Brookside Farm. He has a Ph.D in Evolutionary and Population Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, with expertise in plant systematics and the relationship between climate change and biodiversity.
