Bio: Rembrandt Koppelaar is President of Peakoil Netherlands, the Dutch cluster of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil & Gas (ASPO). Peakoil Netherlands was founded in 2005 and concerns itself with increasing knowledge of and awareness on the depletion of fossil fuels as well as alternatives to oil, natural gas and coal. In 2008 he published his first book on the subject in Dutch, de permanente oliecrisis.As a member of the American institute for the study of energy and our future he regularly contributes to www.theoildrum.com, the largest weblog on the internet on energy. Besides his activities at Peakoil Nederland he studies a Master in environmental economics at Wageningen University of Life Sciences in the Netherlands. In 2008 he worked at an energy internship at Nidera trading company in Rotterdam.
