	Bianca Jagger, Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation Bianca Jagger is the Founder and Chair of the Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation, a Council of Europe Goodwill Ambassador, Member of the Executive Director’s Leadership Council of Amnesty International USA and Trustee of the Amazon Charitable Trust. The BJHRF is a member of the Coalition for the International Criminal Court. For approximately 30 years, Bianca Jagger has been a prominent international human rights, social justice and climate change advocate. For her campaigns in these areas, Ms. Jagger has been the recipient of many prestigious international awards. On 9 December 2004, she received the Right Livelihood Award, also known as the “alternative Nobel prize,” for putting her celebrity at the service of the exploited and disadvantaged. 	Chris Skrebowski, Energy Institute, London Chris Skrebowski was the editor of the Petroleum Review June 1997-May 2008 and has been Consulting Editor since 2008. 	Charles Maxwell, Weeden & Co Charles T. Maxwell, Weeden & Co.’s Senior Energy Analyst, was educated at Princeton University (Jadwin Scholar - Politics) and Oxford University (Marshall Scholar - Middle East languages, literature and history). He entered the oil industry in 1957 and worked for Mobil Oil for 11 years in the US, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. 	Michael Klare, Hampshire College Michael T. Klare is the Five College Professor of Peace and World Security Studies (a joint appointment at Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst), and Director of the Five College Program in Peace and World Security Studies (PAWSS), a position he has held since 1985. 	Kjell Aleklett, President, ASPO International Kjell Aleklett is Professor of Physics at Uppsala University, Sweden, and leader of Global Energy Systems research and the Uppsala Hydrocarbon Depletion Study Group. 	Sharon Astyk, Writer; Farmer; ASPO-USA Board Member Sharon Astyk is a writer, teacher and small farmer whose work focuses on energy, environmental and agricultural concerns. Her MA and unfinished Ph.d focused on the demographic, ecological and economic effects of the Black Death on Renaissance populations, but she abandoned academia to focus on the demographic, ecological and economic affects of our collective energy and environmental crisis. 	Brian Czech, Center for the Advancement of the Steady State Economy Brian Czech has a Ph.D. in renewable natural resources from the University of Arizona and is a certified wildlife biologist. He applies his training and experience to economic issues, especially macroeconomic policy. He has 20 years of experience in federal, state, and tribal governments with duties ranging from firefighting to managing elk herds to developing national conservation policies. Brian is also a visiting assistant professor at Virginia Tech University, where he teaches ecological economics and endangered species policy. 	Daniel L Davis, United States Army Lieutenant Colonel Davis has served with the United States Army since 1989 and fought at the Battle of 73 Easting during the Persian Gulf War, served in Afghanistan in 2005, and saw duty on the Iran-Iraq border as a military trainer in 2009. While on reserve status in 1997-98, Davis worked as a Defense and Foreign Affairs aide for US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. 	John Michael Greer, Independent Scholar; The Archdruid Report Active in the appropriate technology movement of the early 1980s, John Michael Greer received his Master Conservers certificate in 1985 and continued his studies despite the crash of energy prices in the following decades. He became involved in the peak oil movement in the late 1990s, and launched his widely read blog, The Archdruid Report, in 2006. 	Carey King, University of Texas Dr. Carey King studies energy systems, how they work together, how they impact the environment, and how and why humans as a society consume energy resources. He specializes in dynamic systems modeling and nonlinear optimization methods. Much of his recent work has focused on the nexus between energy and water for projecting water demand for electricity generation and alternative automobile fuels. As part of his energy-water studies, Dr. King has authored journal publications, a chapter for the Texas State Energy Conservation Office on the role of water in Texas' energy future as well as a report for the Texas Water Development Board that projects water demand scenarios for future electricity production. Additional work in which Dr. King is engaged includes the economics of carbon capture and sequestration, the design of beneficial combinations of renewable energy and storage systems, and the creation of tools to help the public and policymakers understand the tradeoffs among different electricity generation sources. 	Daniel Lerch, Post Carbon Institute Daniel is the author of Post Carbon Cities: Planning for Energy and Climate Uncertainty, the first major municipal guidebook on peak oil and global warming. One of the few experts specializing in local government responses to global fossil fuel depletion, he has delivered presentations and workshops to elected officials, planners, and other audiences across the United States, as well as in Canada, Ireland, the UK, and Spain. 	Gregor Macdonald, Gregor.us Gregor Macdonald believes the world has entered another, historic energy transition. 	Fred H Morse, US Operations, Abengoa Solar Dr. Frederick Morse, President, Morse Associates, Inc. Fred Morse first became involved in renewable energy issues in the late 1960s, when he served as Executive Director of the White House Assessment of Solar Energy as a National Energy Resource. 	Rick Munroe, National Farmers Union of Canada Rick Munroe has been researching energy security issues for Canada's National Farmers Union for several years. Over the years his focus has shifted from the larger concern of peak oil to the more specific issue of export decline, and then increasingly to the topic of government planning for fuel emergencies. 	David J Murphy, The Oil Drum, EROI Institute, SUNY-ESF David is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, largely focused on the interplay between energy and economics. In addition to academic work, David contributes to The Oil Drum: Net Energy and is an independent consultant within the energy field. David has published in peer-reviewed journals; his recent articles analyze the minimum EROI for sustainable societies and review recent work within Energy Return on Investment (EROI) analysis. David's current research involves the spatial distribution of the EROI from corn-based ethanol, the influence of the Urban Heat Island on electricity demand, the EROI from unconventional natural gas, and the energy-GDP relation from a thermodynamic perspective. 	Cindy Parker, Bloomberg School of Public Health Cindy Parker is on the faculty at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she co-directs the Program on Global Sustainability and Health. She is also an Instructor in the Dept. of Earth and Planetary Sciences where she directs the new undergraduate major in Global Environmental Change and Sustainability. Her professional interests include education, policy work, practice, and research on the global environmental topics of climate change, peak petroleum, and global sustainability. As part of her desire to educate the public and policy makers about the health effects of global climate change, she is a frequent speaker on the topic and recently co-authored Climate Chaos: Your Health at Risk (2008). Dr. Parker received her MD from the University of Arizona and her Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is board certified in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine where she is Co-Chair of the Environmental Health Committee. 	Anthony Perl, Simon Fraser University His current research crosses disciplinary and national boundaries to explore the policy decisions that affect transportation, cities and the environment. He has also analyzed: institutional dynamics of public policy; the role of policy consultants, and; the relationship between energy policy and climate change. His findings have been published in numerous political science, environmental, urban and transportation journals. 	Dave Room, Co-founder, Bay Localize; ASPO-USA Board Member Dave Room is founder of Energy Preparedness (www.energypreparedness.net), a consultancy on relocalization and municipal response to our energy predicament. He also co-founded Bay Localize and coordinates the Local Clean Energy Alliance. Previously, Mr. Room played a key role in many aspects of Post Carbon Institute’s emergence including conceptual frameworks, web design and development, policy, outreach, and fundraising. He is an interviewer for Global Public Media, as well as a frequent lecturer. He has a Masters in Engineering Economic Systems and a B.S, in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He coined the term “Energy Preparedness” and served on the Oil Independent Oakland by 2020 Task Force. 	David Rutledge, California Institute of Technology Professor Rutledge is the Tomiyasu Professor of Electrical Engineering at Caltech, and a former Chair of the Division of Engineering and Applied Science there. He is the author of the textbook Electronics of Radio, published by Cambridge University Press. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), a winner of the IEEE Microwave Prize, and a winner of the Teaching Award of the Associated Students at Caltech. He served as the editor for the Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, and is a founder of the Wavestream Corporation, a manufacturer of high-power transmitters for satellite uplinks. 	Tyson Slocum, Public Citizen's Energy Program Tyson Theron Slocum joined Public Citizen's Energy Program in 2000 and is Director, promoting decentralized, sustainable energy and providing affordable clean energy solutions for working families. Tyson covers the regulation of electricity, natural gas and petroleum markets, including commodity futures and FERC-jurisdictional matters to promote stronger transparency measures. 	Jason Stevens, Morningstar Jason Stevens is a senior equity analyst with Morningstar. He has been covering oil and gas pipelines since 2005, with a focus on master limited partnerships, and also provides oversight of Morningstar's oil services research. He has been attending ASPO USA conferences since 2007, and works to educate fellow analysts on the impact of flat and declining supplies of crude oil on companies across industries. 	David Summers, Missouri University of Science and Technology Dr. Summers was an Indentured Apprentice in the National Coal Board before going to the University of Leeds to study Mining Engineering in 1962. He obtained his BSc (Class 1) in 1965 and a Ph.D. in 1968. His dissertation on the use of high pressure waterjets to cut rock led to his being hired as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri-Rolla. He joined the Rock Mechanics and Explosives Research Center and was successively promoted until he reached the rank of Curators’ Professor of Mining Engineering in 1980. 	Ken Zweibel, The George Washington University Solar Institute Ken Zweibel has almost 30 years experience in solar photovoltaics. During his 26 years at the National renewable Energy Lab (NREL), Zweibel led their development of thin film PV, serving as program leader for the Thin Film PV Partnership Program until 2006.
